1. Introduction

Efnouti ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Efnouti church management platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website and use our services.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, such as when you create an account, including:

• Contact information (email, phone, name)
• Church information (name, location, diocese)
• Payment information (processed securely through payment providers)
• Family and member data you upload

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

• Provide and improve our services
• Send transactional emails and account notifications
• Process payments and prevent fraud
• Comply with legal obligations
• Protect against abuse and security threats

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption (TLS 1.3), regular backups, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

5. The Efnouti Mobile App

The Efnouti mobile app collects the same information as the web application, and in addition uses the following device capabilities. Each is used only for the purpose described:

• Camera and photo library — only when you choose to add a photograph to a person's record, or to scan a servant invitation QR code. We do not access your camera or photos at any other time.
• Notifications — if you allow them, we store a push token for your device so the app can notify you about your service. The token identifies the device, not you personally, and is deleted when you sign out.
• Offline storage — the app keeps a copy of your church's data on your device so it works without a network connection. This copy is removed from the device when you sign out or delete your account.
• Crash and diagnostic reports — the app can send crash reports to help us fix faults. These contain technical information about the failure and your account identifier, not the contents of your church's records.
• National ID numbers — where a church records an Egyptian National ID for a member, it is stored as part of that member's record and is visible only to authorised staff of that church.

The app does not collect your location. Messages you send in service chat are covered by our Content Policy, which also explains how to report or block another user.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account in the mobile app, or by writing to privacy@efnouti.com. Deleting your account signs you out everywhere, removes your login and scrambles your email address so it can no longer identify you, and wipes the copy of church data held on your device.

What deleting your account does not remove: the records your church holds about its members — people, families, attendance history, pastoral visits and follow-ups — remain with the church. Those records belong to the church as their controller, not to your individual login, and a servant leaving must not erase the church's pastoral history. If you want a member's record removed or anonymised, that request goes to your church administrator, who can do it in the app.

You cannot delete your account while you are the last administrator of a church, because the church would be left with nobody able to manage it. Assign another administrator first.

7. GDPR and Privacy Rights

We comply with GDPR and provide rights including access, correction, and deletion of your personal data. Contact us to exercise these rights.
